    Festival Hall is located at 300 Dudley St, West Melbourne.

  • Drop Off and Pickup Location

    For safety reasons, patrons should be dropped off and collected from the corner of Rosslyn Street and Adderley Street or further down either street away from the hall. Patrons should NOT be dropped off or collected on Dudley Street (safety fencing does not allow access from the road to the footpath) or Rosslyn Street directly behind Festival Hall (a road closure will be in place).

  • Parking

    Festival Hall does not have its own carpark. Limited street parking is available in the West Melbourne/North Melbourne area, but please be aware of signed parking times.

  • Public Transportation

    Please see for timetables and service disruptions.

    Tram: Routes 30, 35 (free City Circle), and 86 stop at the corner of Latrobe and Spencer Streets. Festival Hall is a 5 minute walk along Spencer Street away from the city and left into Dudley Street.

    Train: Southern Cross Station (Suggested) – 12-15 minute walk (1.1 km). Walk northbound of the city along Spencer Street and turn left into Dudley Street. North Melbourne Station – 8-10 minute walk (900m). Walk southbound down either Adderley St or Railway Place to reach Dudley St.

    Bus: Route 220 runs along Dudley Street, use stop number 5.

    Taxi: Drop off and pick up can be made in Rosslyn Street or Spencer Street. Taxi ranks are located at Southern Cross Station.

  • Ticket Sales

    All tickets are sold through Ticketmaster. Purchases can be made online at or by calling 136 100. To find your nearest retail outlet, please click here.

    Please only purchase from our primary ticket agent, Ticketmaster. We will not be able to assist with any issues for tickets purchased from third party websites/ organisations. Safe Tix Guide

    Tickets can also be purchased from Festival Hall Administration at 288 Rosslyn Street, West Melbourne, Monday to Friday 9.00am to 4.30pm. Cash, Visa, MasterCard and EFTPOS are the only accepted forms of payment.

    N.B. Patrons who purchase a ticket to a LICENSED AREA (18+ years only) must ensure all ticket holders will be 18+ years of age at the date of the event and must present one of the five Government Approved I.D’s (Learners or Drivers Licence, Passport, Proof of Age Card, Keypass) to gain entry into the Venue. NO I.D., NO ENTRY, NO EXCHANGES, NO REFUNDS.

  • Event Night Ticket Sales

    Tickets are available from the Ticket Sales Window at the front of the venue on Dudley Street (near the Railway Bridge), one hour prior to doors being opened on event nights (unless allocation has been previously exhausted). Cash and cards (EFTPOS, Visa, MasterCard, Amex) are accepted payment methods. There is also an ATM is onsite for those wishing to get cash out on the night (for location see below).

  • Lost, Stolen or Damaged Tickets

    Lost, Stolen or Damaged Tickets must be reported to Ticketmaster on 136 100 (between 9am – 9pm, Monday – Saturday and 9am – 5pm on Sunday) with all of your account and payment details in front of you or email with all of your account and payment details.

    * Please note that a $10 per ticket fee may be incurred for Lost, Stolen or Damaged tickets. Any Lost, Stolen or Damaged Ticket problems will not be considered after doors open on event night. Please go to Festival Hall Administration with event night queries.

  • Prepaid Ticket Collections

    The Credit Card owner, whose name appears on the Credit Card, is the only person who can collect a prepaid ticket. The Credit Card used to purchase the ticket(s) and photo I.D must be presented at time of collection. Prior to the event Venue Ticket Collections can be made from Festival Hall Administration Office at 288 Rosslyn Street, West Melbourne (opposite the venue Loading Door), from Monday to Friday 9.00am – 4.30pm. On the event night Venue Ticket Collections are available from 1 hour prior to the event from the Ticket Sales window located at the front of the Venue on Dudley Street (near the Railway Bridge).

  • Wheelchair Disabled and Injured Patrons

    Patrons with disabilities and their carers must contact Administration directly to purchase tickets to all Festival Hall events on (03) 9329 9699. Tickets are not guaranteed to patrons, as there is only a limited number of these ticket types available, to avoid disappointment contact Administration on or before the first day of sale for a show.

    Accessible Seating tickets will not be mailed out and must be picked up from Administration at 288 Rosslyn Street on event night. A disabled carpark is available outside the Festival Hall Administration Office at 288 Rosslyn Street, West Melbourne. Patrons with injuries, on crutches or any other medical needs must call Administration on (03) 9329 9699 prior to event day to discuss options.

  • Cloak Room

    The cloak room on Dudley Street charges $3 per item. All items not picked up immediately after an event are taken to the Administration Office, please call 03 9329 9699 to arrange a pick up time. Festival Hall takes no responsibility for items not picked up immediately after an event.

  • Door Entry

    Patrons must enter via the door number stated on their ticket.

  • ATM

    The venue has two ATMs. The first is located near Door 7 on Dudley Street. General Admission patrons can access this ATM throughout the night. This ATM can also be accessed via an external door for patrons from the Balcony and Section 10 and 12 areas. Patrons need to see door staff in their respective areas regarding accessing the ATM after entering the venue. A second ATM is located in Section 11 for Section 9 and 11 patrons only (note: internal access only).

  • Employment / Internships

    Casual staff
    For events held at Festival Hall we staff both the Front of House (Ushers, Door Staff and some Security positions) as well as the Bars/Concession Stands. The casual event work is sporadic and dependent on when we have events scheduled. We can never guarantee regular work.
